Arles

Located in the Camargue area of Provence, the town is noted for its Roman ruins and its association with artist Van Gogh.

A Roman amphitheatre, with two-tiers. The towers were added in the Medieval Age. It was built in 90 AD and is still used for events. I won't forget seeing my first and last bull fight in this arena.
