Pernes-les-Fontaines
Pernes-les-Fontaines is a regular stop for our travels in Provence. The town has retained a substantial part of its original fortifications including the impressive entrance gates into the historic town. Enjoy your walk through the gates as you enter the town. The three gateways are: Porte Notre-Dame, entered by a bridge across the Nesque River (the most umpressive of the three), the Porte Villeneuve and the Porte Saint-Gilles.
