The clock of the Church of San Salvatore De Birecto. The church has a rich history including a door created in Costantinopoli in 1087, and a bell from 1227. This is the church where the doges of of the Reppublc of Amalfi had election ceremonies.The clock was added in the Baroque period (1590 - 1750) along with the staircase and the atrium.

A maze of staris and narrow walkways work their way between the houses as you climb higher and hgher from sea level to the uppoer parts of the town.

Piazza Umberto I was originally a place to hold the boats, but as the town grew, it became surrounded by four story houses and it is now the heart of this authentic town. The fountain dates fromm 1927.

The coastal road passes over the a bridge and nicely seperates traffic from the peacefull pace of life of Atrani.
Atrani is located on the Amalfi coast, several minutes from the town of Amalfi. The walk from Amalfi to Atrani takes you the tunnel, an experience, or via a walkway that climbs above the tunnel and then leads down stairs into the town.
